Fateme Hormozzade Ghalati on receiving a Senate Medal

Congratulations to Fateme Hormozzade Ghalati on receiving a Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement at the November Convocation on Saturday, November 4, 2023.  

She was supervised by Dr. Dariush Motazedian and Dr. James Craven and completed her thesis on Three-Dimensional Modeling of Geothermal Systems in the Garibaldi Volcanic Belt, Canada, Using Magnetotelluric Data.
 
During her PhD Program she also received many awards:

  • Geoscience BC Scholarship (2023 and 2022)
  • Graduate Student Award, Carleton University (2023)
- Geothermal Canada Student Scholarship Award (2022)
- Len and Genice Collett Graduate Geophysics Award from the KEGS Foundation (2022)
  • Research Affiliate Program scholarship (RAP) from Natural Resources Canada for four years (2019-2023)
