Fall 2014 Convocation was celebrated on Saturday, November 15th. The Department of Earth Sciences put forward a number of students for graduation at both levels. Two Master's students received the additional honour of winning a medal.

Department Hosts APGO Presentation

On Thursday, November 6th the Department of Earth Sciences hosted a presentation by a representative of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO). The topic of the presentation was how to become a professional geoscientist in Ontario. Note that it is not possible to practice in Ontario without this professional accreditation.

KEGS Ottawa Awards Ceremony

Congratulations to Jennifer Blanchard, Michael Cunningham, Eric Meunier and Maxim Ralchenko, recipients of awards for 2014-15 from the Canadian Exploration Geophysical Society (KEGS) Foundation. Each of these students is an M.Sc. candidate in Prof. Claire Samson's group.
