Dr. Hillary Maddin Receives NSERC Discovery Grant

Dr. Hillary Maddin was recently featured in a news article published by the Carleton University Research Office (CURO) as a recipient of a NSERC Discovery Grant. 

The Discovery Grant is among the most prestigious domestic funding programs available. Successful applicants are truly world-class scientists and engineers. These awards are designed to provide long-term capital for cutting-edge research. They are typically given over a period of 5 years. 

In addition, she has received a NSERC Discovery Accelerator Supplement. These exclusive awards are for researchers who are deemed to be exceptionally creative and innovative. The recipients are and compete against the best scientists in the world. This Supplement is a significant sum which is given over a period of 3 years. 

Dr. Maddin is currently a Banting Postdoctoral Fellow in our department. She conducts research on paleontology and evolutionary biology.
