Carley Crann receives Senate Medal

Congratulations to M.Sc. student Carley Crann who will be the recipient of a Senate Medal for outstanding achievement at the convocation this Saturday November 9th, in recognition of her thesis entitled: "Spatial and temporal variability of lake accumulation rates in Subarctic Northwest Territories, Canada"

The research was carried out with the support of Dr. Tim Patterson's NSERC Strategic Project Grant: "Paleoclimatological assessment of the central Northwest Territories: Implications for the long-term viability of the Tibbitt to Contwoyto Winter Ice Road"   Acknowledgements to Professor Paula Reimer, Dr. Maarten Blaauw and Dr. Helen Roe of Queen's University Belfast for their considerable contributions to the research while Carley was in residence there.

Carley will begin a new position at André E. Lalonde AMS Lab which is currently being built at the University of Ottawa.
