Abstract

The Moon shares many similarities with Earth, among them aspects of its composition and the chronology of its initial chemical differentiation. This talk will explore recent results that are refining estimates of both the time of Moon formation and its overlap with planetary-scale differentiation events on Earth with implications for the timing and mechanism of formation of Earth’s moon.
