Recent advances in mass spectrometry techniques applied to the analysis of planetary materials are playing a major role in understanding the origin and processes that shaped our Solar System and planets. I will show how we can use stable and radiogenic isotope abundances in planetary materials to unravel processes such as planetary accretion and differentiation within the inner Solar System region, and the contribution of these objects to the making of the Earth.
